Text Message Terms
How UNILYA uses text messages, and how to stop them.
Last updated
This disclosure is prepared for legal review and has not yet been approved for publication.
Who we text, and why
UNILYA sends text messages to people who have an account or an open matter with us and who gave us a mobile number for that purpose. The messages are about your own matter: we ask for information needed to move it forward, and we confirm when we have received it.
We do not text advertisements, promotions, or offers. We do not buy, rent, or use purchased contact lists. If you have not contacted us or given us your number, you should not receive a text message from us.
How you agreed to receive them
You consented by giving us your mobile number when you contacted us, opened a matter, or completed a form we sent you, and by agreeing that we may reach you at that number about your matter.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any service. You may decline text messages and continue to work with us by phone, email, or mail.
How to stop messages, and how to get help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text messages from us. Your carrier will stop further messages to that number. We also remove the number from our outreach so that we do not text you again about your matter, and we will reach you another way if your matter needs something from you.
Reply HELP for help, or contact UNILYA through unilya.com. Stopping text messages does not close your account or your matter.
Costs and frequency
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with your own matter; most people receive fewer than five messages per month. Messages are sent only when your matter needs something from you or when we are confirming that we received it.
We do not charge you for text messages. Any charge comes from your own mobile carrier under your own plan.
What we do with your mobile number
We use your mobile number to communicate with you about your matter and for no other purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text message content with third parties. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not share it with lead generators or advertisers.
We use a third-party messaging provider to deliver messages on our behalf. That provider processes the message and the number only to deliver it to you.
Carriers and delivery
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messaging is not a secure or guaranteed channel, and it is not a substitute for speaking with us about anything urgent or confidential.
Nothing in a text message from us is professional advice. If something is time-sensitive, contact us directly rather than replying by text.
